Dear Youth Boy’s Lacrosse Families,

Another vital element contributing to the success of Wilton Youth Lacrosse is that we’ve always had dedicated parent volunteers that help drive the program each and every year. This is built on passionate volunteers giving back to a program that benefits not only their children, but the greater community.

As we look ahead to the 2017 season, we are seeking volunteers who are interested in giving back and continuing the proud tradition we have in town and helping to provide the best possible experience for our boys.

Volunteer roles:

  • Coaching – Looking for knowledgeable parent volunteers at all grade levels, especially for the WALL program
  • Travel Team Managers – Looking for well-organized parents, who can effectively communicate any needs to team parents, help coaches manage schedules, communication, etc… Ideally two team managers to share responsibilities per Travel team (grades 3-8th)
  • Event organization – Looking for help in planning/execution of WLA events including our Rolling Hills fundraiser, Spring Jamboree, Youth Night, Year-End Picnic, Spring Programming Scheduler, and others
  • Community Engagement – Looking for help in marketing WLA programming to the community, growing K-4th grade enrollment through communication/marketing, reporting Wilton Youth game results to local media outlets, being vocal advocates for our town Lacrosse program, etc…

If you are interested in helping us continue to grow and improve our program, please send an email to JR Sherman at  Subject line: WLA Volunteer.  Be sure to include a few words about what you are willing and able to help with and why. Moms, Dads and Siblings welcome!
